Sa'mya Muhammad enjoys digital modeling and telling stories through writing, photography, and concept art. Sa'mya has a BFA in Studio Arts with a concentration in Animation and a minor in Entrepreneurship from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Cultures and traditions inspire her art practice, she has experienced and learned about. She has the goal of encouraging others to explore the world around them through animation and photography.
Sa'mya is inspired by visual artist Alena Dubrovina, Brad Bird, Rebecca Sugar, Hayao Miyazaki, and Monty Oum. She is also inspired by musicians like Joe Hiasashi, Laufey, JVKE, Jeff Williams, and Syung Si. Some of her favorite animations are Howl's Moving Castle, Rise of the Guardians, It's Such a Beautiful Day, Akira, and Coco.
